On Friday night I attended an opening at the Open Space Gallery. The Why Can't Minimal opening was an engaging look at the absurd side of minimalism and for some reason, totally got me. I think it was the most emotional I've ever felt in response to an art show. So check it out!
Afterward, my friend R and I popped over to North 48 for a drink. Usually I would get one of their fabulous tiki drinks because they are SO GOOD, but I have been neglecting my blog lately, so I decided to go for a Caesar. We sat at the bar and chatted about Prozzak with a friend who happened to be there as well. When the drinks came, my friend's tiki cocktail came in one of their ceramic cups and mine came in a pint glass. |
Their Caesar had a basic presentation, with a lime and a single bean as garnish. The rim was interesting though. I think it was smoked paprika salt, which was tasty and different. It gave the drink an over all red peppery taste. The bean wasn't very flavourful, so I'd be interested to know what kind they use. I did enjoy the red pepper flair. A solid Caesar with some subtle taste that makes it unique. Next time I'll go for a tiki cocktail though.
It feels good to have some new material for the blog!
