After wandering around town doing errands on Sunday, I stopped at Tacofino for a snack. During the 12 Days of Caesars in December I'd tried their Michelada, but this time I wanted to try their Caesar. I didn't get a chance to ask them about the ingredients, but it was a very refreshing version of the cocktail. It came in a Mason jar with a simple slice of lime and some lime salt on the rim. The straw was the kind that could kink at the end, which was a cute touch to the low-key presentation of the drink. The cocktail itself tasted like it had some additional pickle juice or cucumber water added to it. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but there was also an underlying sweetness. It totally lacked a thick, tomato juice consistency which made the drink taste very light and would make it great for a really hot day. I paired this with a fried chicken taco for the ultimate snack. I'll go back and order one of these Caesars again when the summer really heats up. |
AND: the next spot on my list is Agrius. I'm already familiar with their delicious food menu and fabulous cocktails, but I haven't tried their Caesar yet. Soooo, I'm going to try and get there soon.
