I went to Fifth Street hoping to get something special. Someone commented on the blog months ago about the Cowboy Caesar. (Thanks Joanne!) I headed over, but forgot to check the comment for the exact name. I figured it would be on the menu. I arrived during a busy time and my server was slammed, so I didn't get to chat about Caesar variations. I ordered the standard. This was a solid classic Caesar. Celery salt rim, with celery, lime and olives as a garnish and a peperoncino floating at the top. Lots to munch on. It was watery, but well seasoned -- a nicely balanced drink. It was also muddy (lots of Worcestershire sauce), but not overpowering. I'd try it again. Maybe the Cowboy Caesar was a feature. If so I'd like to check it out if it comes back. |
